A message from Jack

Hi folks, I'm mixing my most ambitious new album "Migrants, Misfits and Murders" right now. It's been created with a "band" of very talented musicians, who'll be with me for the official GALA launch on 6 July at the Green Man Club's concert venue - Holybourne Theatre, Alton. A very special concert not to miss. Lite bites, half price albums and more.

Jack Warshaw comes from New York City. At 19 he was singing in bars and treading the stages of '60s Greenwich Village along with Bob Dylan, Dave Van Ronk, Peter, Paul and Mary, Tom Paxton and other aspiring artists. Moving to England, he joined Ewan MacColl and Peggy Seeger's group, learned from Tom Paley, toured the UK and Ireland and performed with many greats. His songs include the iconic If They Come in the Morning, aka No Time for Love. He complements his traditional repertoire, with today's stories and politics.

David Botting is a singer songwriter from Hampshire who weaves stories of travels & matters of the heart into a mix of folk & blues inspired contemporary music. His current CD has received good reviews & is available via iTunes or directly from David.

Ben Paley has been surrounded by traditional music from birth: his father (Tom Paley, one of the great figures of the American folk revival), mother (singer Claudia Gould) and step-father (Ron Gould, writer on jazz, country and folk music) are all great influences. Playing fiddle from age 6, his brilliance authenticity with American old-time style is unmatched. He has played all over the UK and US, including New York's Carnegie Hall. His own band, the Long Hill Ramblers is based in West Sussex.

Neil Warren, award winning harmonica player, plays a variety of styles on chromatic and diatonic harmonica. He is a member of two bands around the Reading area and regularly guests with other bands. Winner of the UK NHL harmonica championship in Jazz (twice), Blues and Melodic. http://www.harmonica.co.uk/contest.htm#PWs

Zoe Warshaw, Jack's daughter studied cello and piano from age 6 and graduated in music from Edinburgh University. She works as A & R agent for a major music publisher, sings and plays on several tracks in this album.

Dominic Geraghty, extraordinarily versatile bassist, plays with several bands, including the well-known Hampshire blues band The Rag and Moan Men
