A rare chance to see two legendary songwriters in one night!

Maggie Holland was born and grew up in Alton and first became involved with music through the local folk club scene in the late sixties. Her current repertoire includes songs by (among others) Robb Johnson, Bob Dylan, Billy Bragg and Bruce Cockburn alongside her own original songs and some traditional material. In February 2000 Maggie received the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards "Best Song of 1999" for her song A Place Called England.
"The proof that outstanding contemporary songs are still being written". Colin Irwin, fRoots

Robb Johnson's songs feature in the repertoires of a wide variety of musicians. "An English original", Robin Denselow the Guardian; "one of our best singer-songwriters ever", Mike Harding; a "renowned folk-punk", Time Out. In November 2018 Robb released Ordinary Giants, based on his father's life & times. The album features contributions from over 30 performers and reviewers have been unanimous in their praise: "a stunning album... Robb Johnson is a national treasure" - Northern Sky, "a remarkable achievement" - Songlines, "a masterwork" – fROOTS.
