“We’re all born naked, and the rest is drag.” These are words from RuPaul, the self-proclaimed “queen of drag”—an art form that has existed since ancient times and has recently rocketed to mainstream popularity. With bold costumes, makeup, and characters, drag taps into our human desire for fun, play, and creativity.
Mr Ken Dee is an endearing, funny drag queen with an immense amount of experience, his female impersonations have taken him through the club and hotel circuit throughout the UK and Europe, sharing the bill with top personalities and comedians. His show is a medley of comedy and song – mimed and sung - with outlandish costumes, an impressive array of wigs and some of his impressions of the artists’ mannerisms are scarily close to the real thing.With special guests
Diane James and Adam Lloyd
Diane hails from the north of England she is Hartlepool’s answer to Jane McDonald. Diane has been singing on the cabaret circuit or over 30 years and is an advocate for gay rights and has a huge gay following. Her first performance as Sandy in Grease gave her the entertainment bug. Over the years diane has raised thousand of pounds for charities all over the UK but more so in her hometown of Hartlepool where she runs her own fashion boutique. Ken and Diane met in the early 90’s and have worked together on many occasions over the years. Diane sings songs from all genres to include the musicals and as diverse as Vera Lynn to Kyle and all the big divas! Sit back, relax, and enjoy a powerhouse of a performance.
